I, like many, am feeling a tightness in my chest, a crushing pressure in my skull, and the kind of anxiety that has my heart racing. I feel my mouth turning down, my throat contracting, and a sense that I could sob at any moment. It feels oppressive. It's meant to.

It takes a conscious effort to bring myself back to a place of ease and calm, and get my nervous system regulated for a moment. I do this by tapping into my own agency and personal power and focusing my actions on what is positive in my life. I'm doing what I can, internally and externally. I am finding joy, as always, in creativity. And I'm sharing my joy. So this post is about some joyful things that are helping me, and I hope will help you, too,

find a place of ease and calm...

...and even joy.

A Year of Magic & Fairy Tales

First of all, I'm happy to share that the FREE Taster sessions that were to run from October 1-9 are still available, with an extra five days added to the event. So you still have access to the lessons through tomorrow. The full, year-long course is going to be magical! I'm just one of an amazing group of teachers who will inspire you througout the coming year. And, if you purchase the course, you'll have continued access to ALL the taster lessons, along with all the course materials. I will be in my element, creating layered, mixed media magic in a main lesson and a bonus lesson dispersed over several months. We'll make beautiful, playful art papers, and create inspired projects. We'll focus on the process of making that brings us into the present moment, allows us to trust our intuition, and helps us find flow. If you sign up, please use my affiliate code. This is the "Zine of Wishes" I created for my Taster Lesson.

Join the course for more magic! (click below;)

The "Share Your Joy" Facebook Group

It's been two years since my book, "Share Your Joy: Mixed Media Shareable Art" came out in print, and I continue to receive wonderful feedback from readers. Thank you to everyone who's purchased it! I really appreciate it! Since the book is all about sharing, I've set up a Facebook Group where we can share our joy together. We post any projects we've created following the step-by-step instructions in the book; or shareable projects we've created at some of my in-person Art Play Dates; or something we've created following one of my YouTube tutorials. In the Group, I do occasional 'lives' and post about my own shareable projects and classes around mail art. AND, we've started to do a monthy trade or swap that has been super fun. This month is our fourth trade, and we are trading our own handmade postcards. You have to be a member of the Group to participate. Click below the photo to follow the link and request to join, and I will admit you right away!

ArtFoamies/Fodder School Collaboration Stamps

I can't really stop being excited and joyful about my new ArtFoamies stamps! I've been making so many shareable projects with them. One of my projects, "Art Journaling Cards," while technically not shareable, could easily translate into postcards! I am offering a bonus lesson tutorial using my stamps for these cards as part of Fodder Challenge 2025. This month is jam-packed with creativity and JOY. I have been so inspired by the first few artists' projects, and the month is not even half way over! My lesson drops at the end of the month. You can still sign up and see what all the excitement is about.

PRESALE has begun for "Tokens of Gratefulness" - A New Online Class!

It's been in the works for a while, but it's almost here! "Tokens of Gratefulness" arrives next month. It's a variation on the in-person Art Play Date called "Kindness Cards" that I presented during my first DIY Book Tour. Everyone who's taken the live class has enjoyed the playful, intuitive, no-pressure process of creating these small, shareable cards. I've had lots of inquiries about making this class into an online version that everyone,

no matter where you live, can attend. And it's happening!

Presale has begun and you can save by enrolling

before the Classroom opens on November 15th.

Presale price is $35, a discounted rate from the regular price, $49.

PLUS, if you're a subscriber to my website,

you can get an additional savings of $5 off the presale price,

and pay only $30 (plus any applicable local sales taxes)!

SUBSCRIBE AND GET THE DISCOUNT CODE!

Hi, Sarah--I am already signed up to receive your newsletter. However, I can't find the link to sign up for the kindness cards class. Do I need to re-sign up via the Subscribe link? (Of course it could be right under my nose and I might be missing it--it's Monday!) Thanks!!
